About the Event
For the past few years, I have been immersing myself on the importance of healing and creating restorative spaces for myself and for others. Â I invite you to join me in this 90 minutes learning lab where we will explore the provocation:
"How might we design gatherings as places of refuge?"Â
Some other questions we will explore are:
- what do we mean by "refugia" ?
- what are the governing principles needed to design safe havens?
- in what ways can we facilitate events, gatherings, convenings that are healing-centered?
Who is this session for?
- This session is for facilitators, space holders, team leaders, event organizers, coaches, teachers, community weavers and individuals who are keen in designing healing spaces.Â
- It is for people interested to know more about the importance of healing-centered spaces and communities.Â
- It is for people who are open to deeply reflect on their own practices when it comes to holding space for others.
Please take note: This session will not be recorded. You will receive the pdf copy of the slides and other resources at the end of the session. If you wish to connect after the session, there is a private group that you can join to continue the conversations.Â
What participants say about their experience...
"I haven't been connect to Lana on LinkedIn for very long, and so I wasn't sure what to expect when I attended her webinar Refugia. Â I needn't have worried, it was excellent. Â I had some problems connecting (my wifi is unstable) but as soon as I started listening there were some very interesting ideas - for instance the difference between the ideas surrounding Refuge and Refugee. Â The webinar was interactive, and Lana gave us detailed descriptions of what she would like us to do - we were all answering the same questions, but the answers were unique and personal. Â Â At one point we broke into pairs to talk to a partner for 28 minutes, and I thought it would be hard talking to someone I had never met about personal experiences. Â But actually it was really easy, and we discovered some common ground. Â I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Lana as being an excellent facilitator."
- Beverley Stinton, President at ADHD, ASC & LD Belgium
"Lana's workshops are always refreshing and inspiring--and she models what she teaches in all she does. I often find myself thinking for weeks after about what I've learned The Refugia workshop was a profound experience and I am still thinking about some of the deep wisdom Lana and other participants shared. I walked away with a profound sense of connection, ideas to ponder and wishing for more... I highly recommend!"
- Ellen Mendlow, Strategist, Creative Partner
"Lana creates a space of warmth, inclusivity and belonging. In the Refugia Event, I was part of, what intrigued me was the healing-centered approach. She enables deep conversations with the proper framing of questions and a unique blend of intellect and emotional layers. And how she uses indigenous Filipino wisdom, philosophy and psychology is simply soothing."
